"Walking"

2/27/2020 I finished work on a piece titled "Walking." It is an assignment for my painting class with the challenge of creating a "painting" from non-paint materials. This particular patina (color) was made with some liver of sulfur, a substance that reacts with the surface metal to create the brown or black color. I dipped both items into it and used steel wool to take off some of the resulting patina. I left the sign darker than the ring so that it looks aged. The o...

If you go beyond this post, the quality is representative of the age of which I posted it. I started this blog when I was eight so the farther back you go, the more you have to keep in mind, I was still growing and learning. That is all!
